I like anything audio. I'd rather spend a quiet afternoon rigging line arrays and sound checking than on a rocking chair with a banjo. I like to spend my off hours repairing/making cables and speakers, recoiling cables, editing/mixing studio projects.

anything with shots of live and recording audio gear.

anything with clean, full, crisp, and lively mixes (My Sharona by The Knack, Hunting Wabbits by Big Phat Band, He Said He Had a Story by The Dear Hunter)

I'm a sound guy. I don't have a particular like/dislike. I don't even go for the numbers in the paycheck, I just like helping the artist reach their audience in a very transparent and seemingly magical way.

Live: FOH, monitors, stage man.
Studio: engineer, assist, cables, dials, guy on couch pitching ideas.

I like some fiction. I have only one reference book for audio but I'd rather have more.

I'm not a seasoned pro...yet. I'm trying to get my name out there and some experience under my belt.

I worked live audio for WSU event services for a year and at the WSU Recording Studio for a year.

I've worked rigging, monitor world, foh, stage manager, and pretty much anything except lights. haven't crossed over to lights yet...

I have worked with more acts than I remember, but the biggest names I have worked live sound for are:
Flogging Molly
Three 6 Mafia
Tech N9ne
John Butler Trio
Diego's Umbrella

I also did audio for the musical "Baby"

Yamaha mixers: LS9-16, LS9-32, DM-1000, DM-2000, 1604
Tascam FW-1082
Midas Verona 560
Soundcraft 328XD

Mics: all the usual from sure SM-57/8/81/89, to the Rhodes RE-20/15, and the Sennheiser MD-421, and whatever else I'm forgetting.

PA gear: Meyer MTS-4A, UPA-2P, M'elodie Line Arrays, USW-1P, 650-P, QSC HPR122i, (all the mackie standmount loudspeakers), FBT Maxx 5 and 6 series

Studio gear: http://recording.wsu.edu/equipment.html

I am one with myself.

So I don't have any formal audio training other than a summer class I took with the head engineer of the studio on campus.

2 years as a Music Education Major at Washington State University.

6 years of self taught recording and mixing practice.
